Find the most exquisite pumpkins and gourds you’ll ever lay eyes on at Gordon Skagit Farms, stop at the Bitters Barn for Joe Max Emminger’s show upstairs in the barn (thru October 14th Thursdays - Sundays), continue north on Best Road to Bow/Edison to find some beauty at Hedgerow, have a grilled cheese and glass of wine at Slough Food, pop into the shops and stop at farm stands before heading back to Seattle via Chuckanut Drive with a visit to Taylor Shellfish and some oysters on the water. HEAVEN.

This fall, Seattle is lucky to be home to two magnificent outdoor public art installations. Danish artist, Thomas Dambo and volunteers have built a collection of trolls using recycled materials throughout Western Washington. Go on a troll hunt to find all five! While leaf peeping in the Arboretum, don’t miss John Grade’s “Union'“ , an installation representing the cell structure of the iconic western red cedar. Gratitude to both artists for creating work that inspires wonder and encourages everyone to get outside and connect with nature.
