Japan Town Block Party August 25th 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at S. Jackson and 6th Avenue    Enjoy Hawaiian music, art, spam musubi contest, a sake bar and screening of the movie "Allegiance" in Hing Hay Park!  **Be sure not miss field tripper and artist Erin Shigaki as she gathers your wishes on traditional ema in Chiyo's Garden for an upcoming art installation in Occidental Square.

Sparklefest at the Old Chaser Farm September 2nd  If Bumbershoot isn't your thing, escape to Vashon for this family-friendly wine festival on the farm.

"Mushrooms Demythified" with David Arora September 11th 6:30 - 9:30 at the Center for Urban Horticulture, Author and fungi-expert David Arora will talk about mythical mushrooms to kick off the fall foraging season.

Seward Park After Dark September September 14th  Looking for something extraordinary to do on a Friday night? This is it!  A magical evening celebrating 10 years of exploration, education, and conservation at Seward Park Audubon Center!  This memorable event will feature delicious food truck fare from Skillet Diner, close encounters with live raptors (meet a real falconer!), and guided evening walks of Seward Park to spot owls and bats. You'll have a ball while supporting Audubon's educational programs, can't go wrong.

Green Plate Special's Dinner in the Garden September 15th  Dine and drink under the stars while supporting an organization that inspires and empowers youth to experience food in new ways through gardening, cooking, and eating together.
