The last days of summer are the perfect time to preserve, pickle and prepare the bounty from the garden and local farmers' market for the months ahead.  Join us for an informative and fun afternoon with Sara Huntley of Northwest Workshop. We'll discover her secret brine recipe for pickling of all kinds, how to use fresh herbs to create and preserve sauces that are packed with summer flavors, and mouth-watering ways to use all of those tomatoes.  After this class, you'll be savoring the flavors of summer all winter long.

Along with the chance to learn and taste, field trippers will go home with recipes and new skills, a custom jar of pickled farmers' market veggies and summer herb salt.

Sara Huntley is an accomplished cook, blogger and photographer behind Northwest Workshop, a blog dedicated to teaching home cooks how to learn new food skills. When she's not teaching, you'll find her making Korean BBQ while listening to Radiolab podcasts.
