shibori open studio july 29th

65.00

Once you've started doing shibori, it's addictive quality will keep you coming back for more!  In this open studio, former students and those with dyeing experience are invited to bring items to dye: pillowcases?  your favorite t-shirt or white pants? table cloth? bikini? Here is your chance to experiment and make something special!

There will be no formal instruction given at this workshop, but Francine Moo-Young will be available for questions and advice.  In addition to providing shibori supplies and dye, we will have napkins available for purchase.

Born in Jamaica, Francine Moo-Young comes from an eclectic family mix of European, Chinese, and Caribbean cultures.  Her love for dyeing began at a young age when a laundry bleach mishap opened her eyes to its transformative qualities.  She now designs and makes her own clothing line from her studio in Capitol Hill.
