Mala, a Sanskrit word for garland, is a set of beads traditionally worn and used for meditation. Malas are made of 108 beads and serve to keep count of the wearer’s affirmations (or mantra) by focusing their awareness to stay mindful in the present moment.

This fun and inspiring workshop provides moments of contemplation and meditation as you consider your intentions. Class will begin with a guided meditation and end with learning how to use your new mala in daily practice. Participants will have a variety of gemstone beads to choose from, each aligning with specific aims.

Kevyn Hauser is the creator behind Lucy Blue jewelry and loves sharing her mala-making practice to inspire others. Amy Brightman is the owner of Root Yoga … your new happy place.
