If you've ever wished for a pair of custom sneakers, this is the field trip for you! In this hands-on workshop, leather and shibori artist Francine Moo-Young will teach participants how to cut, punch and sew their own leather sneakers.

Students will choose from an array of leather, both solid and shibori-dyed from her collection. From low-tops to high tops, laces and trim, pattern and color, the vision is all yours. Rubber-soles and patterns engineered by Dutch designer Roderick Pieters.

This day-long workshop is limited to three students to ensure focused instruction and attention. Previous hand-sewing or leather experience beneficial but not required.

Born in Jamaica, Francine Moo-Young comes from an eclectic family mix of European, Chinese, and Caribbean cultures. Visit her at her new concept boutique in Chophouse Row for fine leather goods and shibori-dyed fashion.
