Calling all kombucha lovers!  Learn how to make custom brews at home at this fun and hands-on workshop.

Kombucha is a simple fermented beverage made with sweetened tea and a 'SCOBY' (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast), which can be further enhanced with fresh fruits, ginger, and spices. It is an easy, inexpensive, and delicious way to incorporate probiotics into your health regimen.

In this workshop, field trippers will learn about the benefits of incorporating kombucha into their diet, along with how to brew it at home for pennies a bottle.  We will use summer fruits and herbs from the garden to create custom blends. Each student will go home with their own SCOBY, starter kit and directions to embark on their fermenting journey.

Fawn Coussens is a physical therapist with a passion for teaching, wellness and body education.  She has been a fervent kombucha drinker and fermentista for many years and loves to share the joy of home brewing with anyone who is willing to join her.
