Learn about nature's aerial wonders  - tillandsia or "air plants" - and create a living sculpture of your own.

In this hands-on workshop, field trippers will choose from a stunning array of air plants with contrasting colors and textures, along with found objects from nature to create an easy to care for tillandsia mount to brighten the home or office. Create a mobile, wall hanging or table-top piece to best suit your space. Students will leave with the knowledge and confidence to care for their creation, as well the skills to make more.

All supplies provided.

Betina Simmons-Blaine is a master gardener and owner of Marzipan Seattle.  When she's not playing with mud, she can be found growing, pickling, fermenting, and preserving northwest bounty in Seward Park or Lopez Island. Marzipan makes her swoon.
