woodland jewelry workshop and dunn gardens tour october 7

80.00

Celebrate autumn with a tour through the famed Dunn Gardens followed by a hands-on workshop creating beautiful woodland jewelry.

This field trip begins with a docent-led tour through the Olmstead Brothers-designed Dunn Gardens, learning about its history and flora as we wander through the colorful foliage.  Along the way, we will collect garden clippings and woodland bits to use for jewelry pieces.  After our tour, field trippers will learn how to use natural elements to create one-of-a-kind woodland jewelry.  Each student will receive a kit to make a charming cocktail ring along with earrings or a cuff bracelet.

These ephemeral pieces of art will last as long as the cuttings are fresh.  The bases are reusable and field trippers will go home with the tools and knowledge to create new pieces from their own gardens again and again.  Libations and light snacks served.
